Interview conducted by Alan Cherry as part of the LDS Afro-American Oral History Project of the Charles Redd Center for Western Studies at Brigham Young University on 12 March 1988. O'Neal talks of her early life in Cincinnati, Ohio and of the problems in her marriage. She tells of her conversion to the Mormon Church, her life as a Mormon, and comments on the experiences of other black Mormons in Columbus, Ohio.
